Leading Funeral Services

Having retired from the police in 2014, after 30 years service, I understand the impact on families of death and bereavement.  I also became experienced at public speaking and ceremonial occasions.

When someone close to me died the funeral celebrant asked me to read a treasured poem, sowing the seeds of becoming a funeral celebrant several years ago.

I am an independent civil funeral celebrant and not a member of any faith or humanist groups. I can lead a non-religious funeral or a partly religious funeral, whereas a strictly humanist funeral contains no religion. I believe that some religion or non should be your choice and in keeping with your loved one's wishes and beliefs.

As a fully insured member of the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants (FPC). I work to their code of conduct and high standards.

About Martin

Throughout my life I have been involved with animal welfare.

I have volunteered at rescue centres and my wife and I have re-homed many cats and dogs over the years - our latest is retired police dog 'Indy'.

During time off I am walking my way around the whole of England via long distance footpaths (slowly). I'm about 2/3rds of the way around with the east coast still to walk.

As a musician, I love the creativity of helping you to find the right music to convey the memories and emotions that will be part of the occasion.

When we meet I can find and book any music that you would like to make the service special to you, family and friends.
